This Privacy Policy describes how RareScan – TCG Card Scanner ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we collect and how we use it.

Trading Card Search Data:

• Search queries may be transmitted securely to our backend services and third-party pricing providers to retrieve trading card market data
• Search requests may include the card name, set, card number, image-derived search terms, or similar lookup details needed to return relevant results
• We do not require you to create an account to use RareScan
• We do not store personal trading card collections on our servers

RareScan uses network requests where needed to provide search results, pricing information, analytics, advertisements, and app functionality.

RareScan may display third-party advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and use information to provide, measure, and improve advertisements.

• AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, and app interaction data
• Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your settings, consent choices, and applicable laws

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app. This service may collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App usage patterns (screens viewed, features used)

Important: This analytics data is generally anonymous and does not include:

• Personal trading card collections
• Personally identifiable information
• Any information that could identify you

We use reasonable technical measures to protect information transmitted between RareScan, our backend services, and third-party service providers. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Optional Premium Subscriptions

Future versions of the app may offer optional premium subscriptions through Google Play Billing. If subscriptions are offered, purchases and billing information will be handled by Google Play according to Google's own terms and privacy policies.

RareScan is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below.
